This house was built for me by my Husband in 1983\1984 after he finished it I started to make furniture and dolls to go inside. At this time particularly in Scotland where we live there were no Dollshouse or miniature shops near us so I had to make most, if not everything myself. No internet either.
I really enjoyed doing it but as you can see the house inside is very basic and not fancy at all.
I used samples of wallpaper from the B&Q diy store and the attic floor is vinyl contact paper. I have added some bought objects and furniture over the years but the handmade ones are still in there. Lets see what we have in each room.
Starting with the attic rooms
In the back of the room the small cupboard with drawers and the white washstand jug and bowl I made. The blue furniture I bought not long ago.

A little sewing area with a treadle machine, the railing for the stairs were made by me
the nursery bedroom, I made the rug with cross stitch and the bedding was hand sewn this bed and drawers were bought on ebay a couple of years ago.
This side of the same room has the original handmade bed, bed covers, wash stand
and small hat I made when the house was built
The main bedroom in the house. Everything in this room is handmade except the dressing table and chair and of course the lady

Now we have the lounge the chairs, setees, the corner unit and the bird cage and stand were bought items
I made the lady in blue from Fimo and dresses her I also embroidered the rug. The cakes are made from Fimo the man in black suit was bought.
Same room. I made the little boy with fimo and dressed him and the other dolls were all bought. The fireplace was handmade and I made the firescreen with cross-stitch, and the little girl's hat is made from hat straw.
On to the dining room. The handmade items are ...the rug, the fireplace, the dresser, the dining table, vases on the mantlepiece were made with Fimo and are copies of ones that I own. the bowl of fruit, and candlesticks. Bought items are the chairs and the server and the blue vases
All the stairs were handmade
the bottom newel post went missing through the years of being played with by my nieces and nephews
The Study.
Only a few items in this room were bought the clock, the brass plate, the chair, and the wastebasket which is really a thimble. the small ornaments on the bookcase.
Everything else the books, the shelving unit, the male doll, the fireplace, the baby grand clock, the shields on the wall, and items on the desk, are all handmade.
The bathroom, handmade items in here are the sink unit the small table towels in the cupboard. All the rest are bought
The Kitchen
Apart from a few jugs and a couple of porcelain pots everything in the kitchen, including the cook are all handmade
The cross-stitch sampler on the wall and the basket of flowers were also handmade
My intention is to renovate this house when I have finished the Georgian country manor hopefully not too long away. After 33 years as you can see it's in need of a major update. I have purchased some lights and will be getting more furniture and accessories as the refurbishment goes on.
