Little added extras and my recent makes

Another we update and a look at the miniatures I have been making for the past few weeks.
It all started when I needed a hat for Charlotte to put in her bedroom so I set about trying my hand at hats.  Not an easy task as I found out, to make a Georgian bonnet, but I had a go and eventually after a few going in the bin I ended up with the pink one below.
The worst part was making the small roses. I found a YouTube video with an easy way and made them with an Organza ribbon. Satin ribbon is too thick and this method is better with Organza. Then I made the green and yellow one with embroidery Aida cloth which resembles a straw hat in miniature. The others I made yesterday and I think that I might need to make a shop to put them in if I make any more 😂 Only the pink one is going into Dalton Manor as the others are not Georgian in style.

I've also been experimenting with making little baskets. I used a couple of materials for these as they are for different purposes.

The ones here are for around the house mainly the kitchen and pantry. I used the Aida material and stitched around them with embroidery floss. They could be breadbaskets.

The ones below are made with hemp. I cut out some squares and soaked them in watered PVA glue to stiffen them and then shaped them over small molds until they were dry and then I trimmed them to size. I plaited the hemp strands and added trim and handles to each basket. I'm pleased with how they turned out and I like the colour too.

Just to give you an idea of the sizes
