Stocking up the pantry and kitchen

Hello again
This week I have been playing around with Fimo polymer clay and making some food for the kitchen and the pantry. Below you can see the finished food on the tables and on the floor of the pantry.

Roast chicken for dinner....mmmm !!!

I also needed some sacks to put the potatoes and flour in so I made a couple from canvas that I had then I stamped some logos onto them with a small alphabet set and Stayzon ink pad.

Now I have 3 sacks of potatoes to go into the pantry

The Pantry
Still looks quite empty at the moment but will fill up eventually

Some food ready to be baked in the oven, it takes 30 minutes to cure the clay then it is hard

colouring the apples with chalk pastels then baking them

the real potato is in the photo just to show the scale it wasn't cooked

again I coloured the potatoes with chalk pastels

I needed a sink base unit and had a welsh dresser that was not Georgian at all so I halved it and used the bottom for my sink. I took out the middle section and made a wooden sink and painted it .

this was the welsh dresser I altered.

Next was the sink for the scullery. I made a double sink with Bass wood painted it then added the pipe work underneath and added 3 legs

Also added tiny we taps too.
In the corner is the Copper where all the household linnen was boiled it was a brick construction with a copper tub inside and was heated from below with a fire, you can see the little door at the bottom

It was made from a gravy tub and Bass wood with brick paper for the outside and the top is Bass wood

The inside is the bottom of a plastic cup trimmed to fit and painted copper

I borrowed the maid ( Niamh calls her Silly Sally lol ) from the Victorian house next door to let you see the how the Scullery will look and I have now noticed that the lights in the basement rooms are too low so that's something I will have to fix.

You can see the light here is far too low.
The stairs in the back of the Scullery lead up to the ground floor entrance hall

Back to the main kitchen now and you can see I also borrowed the Cook from next door too. Ready to slice the bread sticks and serve dinner...

Lights in here need fixed too

That's it for this week I'll be working on some of the uptairs rooms next and may also do some work to the outside of the house too, I'll keep you posted. Thanks for your visit see you next time 😍
